Biography
Kathleen Guthrie, Ph.D., serves as an Professor of Biomedical Science at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine. Dr. Guthrie received her Ph.D. training in Neuroscience at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Guthrie's group in the Guthrie Research Lab investigate development and survival of new neurons in the adult brain in mouse models of neurological disorders, including Huntington’s disease, epilepsy and autism spectrum disorders. Dr. Guthrie serves as Assistant Director of Education for the FAU Brain Institute, and is on the Editorial Board of the Journal Scientific Reports.
